*** Hiking Safely In Grizzly Country

We were wrapping up our last weekend of 3 months in Montana and we wanted a new place to try out some fishing. We headed over to West Shore State Park to give it a go. Upon arrival we drove through some beautiful pines down to a parking lot. It was then a short walk down a hiking trail to a picnic table right on the shore of Flathead Lake. We set ourselves up here for the afternoon and it didn’t take long for us to pull in a couple lake trout! It was a beautiful afternoon and we had a great time.

There are also several other things to do here. West Shore has several campsites, a beautiful hiking trail through the woods, and a boat ramp for water access. What a great way to spend a Montana day!
