Pablo Reservoir – Catch Some Big Fish and Relax With Beautiful Scenery
Distance from Mt. Forge: 5 minute drive
Aside from the Mission Valley Super Oval (which you can see from here), this is the closest attraction to Mount Forge. Just a five minute drive up the road, if you have a little bit of time it’s a great place to be. When driving from Mount Forge on Reservoir Road the first entrance (eastern side) is a great place to stop if you want to take a nice stroll through the land or walk your pooch. When we were quarantined at Mount Forge earlier this year we would regularly take Forge here in the evenings.
When it comes to fishing, this is a fun place to go for a quick fishing adventure. The second entrace (western side) and along the dike is a great spot. Just be careful on the rocks. If you like fishing for pike and bass, this is perfect for you. You can pull some big ones out of here. Make sure you stop by Zimmer Tackle before heading out!
Once the winter hits, Pablo is a very popular ice fishing destination as well. We’re excited to give this a try on our next winter trip.
