How to Build an Airbnb in Montana – Making a Dream into Reality

How to Build an Airbnb in Montana – Making a Dream into Reality

Back in 2017 my then-fiancee-now-wife, Nicole, and I were going on a bachelor/bachelorette party with our friends in Las Vegas. We knew we were going to have a wild time, so we wanted a place to relax afterwards for a few days. We didn’t know much about Montana other than it was supposed to be really beautiful, so when we saw the $50 one way ticket from Vegas to Missoula we jumped at the opportunity.

We stayed in a little teardrop trailer on a farm just outside of Arlee, We spent the next four days exploring the Route 93 corridor and falling in love the Big Sky Country. We went whitewater rafting drove Going-To-The-Sun Road at Glacier National Park saw the National Bison Range walked around the Garden of One Thousand Buddhas and felt a level of relaxation we never knew existed. It was safe to say that we fell in love with Montana.

Flash forward to January of 2019, the newlywed Henry’s took an insane leap of faith for a young couple and purchased 63 acres outside of Polson, Montana. Six months later a prefab cottage was dropped and I convinced Nicole to name the place after our Norwegian Elkhound puppy, Forge. That day Mount Forge was born. We are still based in Philadelphia but we make trips out to visit as often as we can. We spent March through June of 2020 quarantined at Mount Forge during the COVID pandemic which gave us an opportunity to explore the outdoors even more. What you’ll find here is a collection of our stories and experiences that showcase The Last Best Place On Earth. While we may not get to see it as much as we can, sharing this place with our Airbnb guests helps us feel closer to Montana all the time.

We hope you enjoy the Treasure State as much as we do!
