Whether you’re looking for a convenient place to go fishing, a gorgeous place to camp, or a relaxing hike with amazing views, Big Arm State Park is the place for you. We’ve been to this park on several different occasions and it’s always been a great time. It’s an easy spot to drop a canoe or boat into the water, it’s very accessible to plenty of lakefront beach areas, and it has a 2.5 mile hiking trail with incredible views of mountains and Flathead Lake. It’s also a great place to access Wild Horse Island by boat. No matter what you do, Big Arm is one of my favorites.
We’ve also spent a lot of time canoe fishing in the Big Arm Bay. It’s a great and easily accessible location. If the water is low you can access the lake from Walstead Park as well.
